- Separate multiple search terms with spaces. E.g., book love
- Enclose phrases in "quotes". E.g., "book of love"
- Lower case text strings are case insensitive; mixed and upper case text strings are case sensitive. E.g.,
love - will match love, Love, lovely, Lovely.
Love - will match Love, Lovely.
- Search types:
- all: field must contain all words (letter strings) in any order. Search terms must be more than one character long.
- any: field must contain any one of the words (letter strings). Search terms must be more than one character long.
- starts: field must start with the letter string or word. Search terms may be one character or more long.
- Search terms in multiple fields (artist, title, ...) are joined as "AND" searches.
- International characters (diacriticals) may cause a number of problems, including:
- These characters must be entered in searches to retrieve matches.
- Diacriticals may muck up the sort order. E.g., "Hern�ndez" sorts after "Herndon".
